Learning

i learned something today I didn't know before. According to bush, rice and rumsfeld, water torture is not torture because they deem it to be not.
I will have to relay this message to my kids so they can learn from it. torture is not torture if people in power say its so.....
Thank you leaders of the free world for the examples and lessons we can all learn and follow.

abstractions

What I see and hear day to day, week to week, year to year, from our governments are, words which mask, abstract the reality of given situations, the latest example of this is, the Pentagon and White House using abstractions in their wording of torture in a attempt to make you, me and others think that torture isn't torture because of the wording.
Please, language is so powerful, stop and look at what is being said.

being my best

"This is a group of people who don't merit the word `insurgency,' I think," Rumsfeld said Tuesday at a
Pentagon' name=c1> SEARCHNews News Photos Images Web' name=c3> Pentagon news conference. He said the thought had come to him suddenly over the Thanksgiving weekend.
"It was an epiphany."
Rumsfeld's comments drew chuckles but had a serious side.
"I think that you can have a legitimate insurgency in a country that has popular support and has a cohesiveness and has a legitimate gripe," he said. "These people don't have a legitimate gripe." Still, he acknowledged that his point may not be supported by the standard definition of `insurgent.' He promised to look it up.
Webster's New World College Dictionary defines the term "insurgent" as "rising up against established authority."
Even Gen. Peter Pace, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, who stood beside Rumsfeld at the news conference, found it impossible to describe the fighting in Iraq without twice using the term `insurgent.'
After the word slipped out the first time, Pace looked sheepishly at Rumsfeld and quipped apologetically, "I have to use the word `insurgent' because I can't think of a better word right now."
Without missing a beat, Rumsfeld replied with a wide grin: "Enemies of the legitimate Iraqi government. How's that?"

I SAY, WHAT DOES THAT MAKE US ??????????? Brian

crutch

Life is a gesture
whereever it may begin
autum days summers haze
in a dream or in your head
i feel time shift
as if it exists, not now or how
we feel from its size
I know as I feel
I know that I'm not
all of all things
or nothing alot
to go in between, as the speck I am
the electrical charge, me I'm so
how can it know?
the reason all time apears more than once
is all time happens once no more no less
its here where I'm not
or am once of the whole
this is one picture,
taken from a whole lot more.

Vice president cheney

Well, the reports today are cheney ripping the war critiques who say the plot for war was fabricated........
If you aren't sure, or if you don't belief the war plot was fabricated, I have a bridge to sell you.
they believe it wasn't fabricated because......
well, the fabrication was just...
I hope you see the danger and lunacy here.
America, The land where if you twist your words right they don't say what you mean, but upon dissection you will discover they do mean what they say. It is time to not be told, but instead to take the time and see for yourself.

AND HERES ANOUTHER GEM

Boston Globe,
Pentagon says it used phosphorus in Fallujah in 2004 it denied it targeted civilians.
but apparently some got it.
our leaders said Saddam must go, he uses chemical weapons,, well apparently chemical weapons which burn from the outside instead of the inside are o.k.
Also,
where are all these bodies from his killing? All I have seen so far is the same picture of the same town, of the same block. I think as of this date he is only being tried for 2000 +-
we have killed over 100000 of them.
so what's up?
who should be on trial?
roughly half the American population does not like or agree with bush, in fact I would guess almost half the population of this country is afraid of him and his policies. So does this give the right for another country, were there one more mighty, to capture, kill and destroy for the implementation of there own beliefs?

Paris is burning

Do you wonder why?
have we lost a step?
is the violent recourse
a message sent?
we need voices
decisions wrought
out of mankinds despair
and its growing lot.
hard painful insight
to the ears of all.
no more disguises
to pray to a wall.
the seeds we are sowing
weeds sharp spread throughout
the ground that was fertile
soon filled with fallout
stop stop stop
it is time for us all
stop stop stop
before the cliff not to fall
if you don't listen
ignoring what you see
then soon it is over
with earth left to trees.
